Sunday we had the whole Tuckett Family over for dinner to help us celebrate Andrew's birthday. Lisa and family gave him a nerf golf set. G&G Tuckett gave him a remote control police car. We made another bike cake. We also had mini cupcakes which I didn't get a picture of but were a big hit! Small amount of cake with a large amount of frosting=YUMMY!
Okay, turn down your volume when you watch this. I need to remember not to sing while videoing:)

Andrew's Birthday Part #2
About a month ago I had to pick up a book at the BYU Bookstore. As we passed the bowling alley Andrew asked what it was. I told him maybe he could ask daddy if he would take him bowling for his birthday, fully expecting Andrew to forget all about it. Ever since then Andrew has said at least once a week, "I'm going bowling for my birthday!" How could we not take him after that. He had never even been bowling so he didn't know what he was missing out on. He had such a good time he'll probably ask to go bowling every week until his next birthday.
Andrew showing his excitement after bowling a STRIKE! Andrew actually won the game, but daddy came in a pretty close 2nd!
This was Emma's first time bowling also. She loved it! She didn't even care if her ball hit any pins at all, she was just excited to roll the ball down the ramp.
Julia has been bowling a few times. She used the bumpers but not the ramp.
I didn't get a picture of G&G Hult who were kind enough to come watch and hold AJ for us.
We all had a great time bowling!

Andrew's Birthday Part #1
Andrew turned 4 on Friday, August 22. The whole weekend was dedicated to celebrating the birth of our cute boy! Andrew helped me make the cake by cleaning the beaters when I was done with them. We found a cool pattern for a bike cake on the Family Fun website. Mine doesn't look quite as cute, but you get the idea. Andrew's only gift request was a new bike. He was really excited about this one, but it tipped over right after we took this picture and the chain guard broke. Now we have to return it and get a new one. This is where the video will go of Andrew blowing out the candles on his cake as soon as I learn how to upload files from my new video camera:)
After dinner and opening gifts we went over to the church with some cousins to play baseball with Andrew's new bat and ball set. We had a great time running around and playing. We even took Andrew's bike so he could ride it a little more before we have to take it back.

Retreat
My best friend, Mary, came to visit from Virginia. It was so great to have some much-needed girl time. We talked a lot, ate good food, well, we ate whatever Mary's diet allowed, shopped, shopped some more, got together with some great friends, got pedicures, and went to the temple. It was such a fun week!
A friend of Mary's let us use her dad's condo near Park City. When we arrived we had to figure out how to turn on the furnace and water heater. Luckily two of the amazing girls with us figured out how to light the pilot light! Until then, we warmed ourselves by the heat of the oven.
Mary was on the maintenance phase of the HCG diet. If she ate any sugar or carbs the scale showed it. When she cheated she would have to fix it by drinking a gallon of water all day and then eating a giant steak for dinner. She was nice enough to cook us all a steak so we could help her enjoy her first meal of the day!
She did it, and even after that she lost 4 pounds! Crazy diet:)

Christmas Breakfast - a day late
We had our traditional Tuckett Family Christmas breakfast this year the day after Christmas so Joel and Melissa could make it. Joel had to work on Christmas Eve. Like always mom and dad spoiled us with delicious food and some great gifts!
I don't know why the only pictures I take at Christmas time are the kids opening their gifts. After a while the pictures all start to look similar and kind of boring.
Julia got the Calico Critter Bear Family from G&G Tuckett and more Pixos from the Christensens.
Emma got a Princess video and a tutu with leggings, the perfect Emma gift! She also got an Ariel Barbie from the Christensens.
Andrew got a play dough toy from the Tucketts.
From G&G Tuckett he got a ball and Wedgits. They are a very fun alternative to building blocks. Definitely mommy's favorite toy of the season! Andrew likes them too!
AJ got a walker from G&G, but it was too big for him to open himself. From the Hardys he got a cute new outfit that Aunt Cindy spent way too much money on. But we love it and he wears it everyday it's clean! We're going to get her money's worth out of that one!

Hult Family Christmas
We had our traditional cracker dinner at G&G Hult's Christmas night since some families were with the in-laws Christmas Eve. We had a great time visiting and playing games.
Julia was excited about the Webkinz Polar Bear she got.
Emma got an Ariel barbie that goes in the tub!
Andrew's favorite toy of all Christmas was this remote control car.
AJ got a box of books! Yeah!! We love books!
