Andrews Family Bday

Andrew's Family Party

Andrew chose a basketball cake for his family birthday celebration.  He ended up being sick the day of the family party so we had him blow out candles on a leftover piece of cake.  Poor kid.

Grandma Tuckett made this huge pillow for Andrew.  He loves it and drags it all over the house.

Happy 7th birthday to my big, sweet boy!

The Little Mermaid

Under the Sea

I took Julia, Emma and Ashlee to see the local charter schools production of The Little Mermaid.
Two boys from our ward were in the show.  They all did a marvelous job!
Emma was star-struck and couldn't wait to meet Ariel.  (She really wanted to dance on stage in a pretty dress with the Prince after the show.)

Andrews 7th birthday party

This boy is 7 years old!
I can't believe Andrew is already that old.  He wanted to have a friend party this year.  This was his first one.  He had a snowman themed party.
We played pin the part on the snowman.

He invited 5 boys and 7 girls from school and church.

He got lots of great gifts!
Here is the whole group minus 2.
It was a little crazy but I think the kids had fun!  I know Andrew loved it!  He is such a sweet boy!  We love having him in our family!  Especially because he is so good at cleaning bathrooms!

New Paint

I love the way new paint can make a room seem brand new.  Our renters moved out in August and we wanted to let Julia and Andrew move downstairs, but we wanted to repaint and recarpet before we transitioned.  We hired someone to come paint.  It took him a few weeks, but we were very happy with the results.  We let the kids choose the paint colors for their rooms.

Andrew chose green and since his mom has not decorated his room yet he took it upon himself to decorate with his school work.  I just can't bear to make holes in the walls... yet.

Julia's color looks similar to Andrew's in the picture but it's actually a teal blue.  It's really pretty and bright and looks like a pre-teen room.

Emma chose pink, of course.

AJ chose light blue, which is his favorite color.  I guess I should have cleaned up the mess before taking the picture!
After Miguel was done painting we let Julia and her cousins do an ocean mural in the playroom.  It's my favorite room in the house!  I love how bright and cheery it is and how fun it feels.  I think they did a great job!  I love the happy octopus!

Ariel is Emma's favorite part of the room, and I love the eels and the crab!

We miss our renters, but are so grateful for more space and especially for a separate place to put the toys.  Happy Playing!

Good-bye 2012

New Years Eve

We had the Tuckett's, Jeremy, Tessa and Max over for some New Years fun.  First we played the game gift trap.  Then most of us, excluding men (bunch of party poopers), had a dance off.  We had a bracket and everything.  It was pretty fun and some great exercise.  I kept videoing, but ended up dancing while videoing.  That makes for some bouncy videos :)  It was a super fun night!  Josie D. won the dance-off, but I came in a close 2nd!  (I'm not competitive at all.)

Welcome 2013!
