Emma turns 6!

Emma turned 6 on March 25. I can't believe how fast the years pass by. Although Emma has not grown much in stature this year, she has progressed in leaps and bounds with many things. She is in a transitional kindergarten class which she just loves!! She is learning her letters and numbers, slowly but surely. She learns things pretty quickly, but she doesn't want to let anyone know what she knows until she decides the time is right! Emma is her own person and does things on her own time and we just celebrate whenever we can with her! Emma opened her new birthday outfit before school.

She is our birthday princess. Emma loves princesses and sparkly things, that's why I knew she would love this shirt.

I took mini cupcakes to Emma's class on her birthday. Emma was so excited to be the star bee student of the week in her class. She had been asking me all year if she could take pictures of baby Emma to school to show her class. Emma loved listening to her classmates sing happy birthday to her. I wish I would have taken my video camera, she was enthralled! Don't you love the look Emma gives me over the rim of her glasses, she is thoroughly enjoying her cupcake. A month later and she still talks about how I took teeny tiny cupcakes to her class!

On Emma's birthday we had G&G Hult over to open gifts. She was most excited about the princess movies from Grandma and Grandpa! We got her a bike, but it's too big for her to ride right now. She was excited about the princess sticker I put on it.

We put candles on the extra cupcakes from Emma's class and sang happy birthday again!


I'm not sure if this look is saying, I'm really tired or I've had too many sweets today! Maybe a little of both:)

After cupcakes we went down to get frozen yogurt because Emma's favorite treat in all the world is icecream!
What a great day we had celebrating the birth of our sweet Emma Raine!

Going for the Gold

Julia's piano teacher is doing a program to motivate her students to practice and excel in their piano experience and Julia has just loved the program. She now has a check list when she practices piano and is rewarded with points to help her Olympic Team. At their Spring Recital, which was held while mommy and daddy were in Las Vegas, Julia's Olympic Team not only received the gold medal for earning the most points, but our miss Julia received the highest number of points and was awarded this piano trophy for being Student of the Year. We are so proud of her and all of her accomplishments. She is becoming a great pianist!

When Julia called us in Vegas to tell us about her award she said her teacher went on and on about all the wonderful qualities the Student of the Year has and Julia said, "Then she announced the winner and it was me!" She was not expecting such an honor, but she deserves it!

Vegas Baby!!!

Eldon and my dad enjoy going to the Mountain West Conference Tournament together in Vegas. My mom and I enjoy going with them to have some bonding time in the malls and outlet stores! Besides shopping we also visited my Aunt Barbara out in Blue Diamond.

We went to the temple.

We even saw a show the last night there since BYU didn't make it to the championship game:(
We had a really nice time and were very thankful to all those family members who kept the kiddoes for us! Thanks guys!

Spelling Bee

They had a 3rd grade spelling bee this year. The kids were able to study the list of spelling words for a month. Then they had spelling bees with their class to narrow it down to the top 4 from each class to compete in the grade level spelling bee. After a few rounds of using the words they had studied and realizing nobody was going to miss one, the judges started using a list of words the kids had never seen before. Julia did a great job! She got some really hard words correct. It was funny to watch both of Julia's grandma's tense up with nerves while Julia spelled each word. The word she will never spell wrong ever again is purchase. She said c instead of s. She took 2nd place, which is great!

She was extremely excited about the cute bee trophy she received!

It was great to have Grandma and Grandpa Hult there along with Grandma Tuckett.

9 year old Julia Kaye

This year was Julia's year for a family birthday party instead of a friend party. She wanted to go swimming at the Lehi Legacy Center. We let her take two of her cousins along. I didn't get any pictures of them in the pool, but snapped this one before they all jumped in. The had a great time swimming....



but maybe had just as much fun playing in the lockers in the dressing room:)





For a cake Julia chose desert island cupcakes. The girls had a fun time making their own desert islands.

Aren't they cute! The cupcakes turned out pretty cute too!


Julia got the webkinz giraffe from Grandma and Grandpa Hult along with a sketch book and an activity book.

I got Julia this new outfit and asked her to go try it on so we could bring her new bike in from the garage and surprise her. She came strutting out in her new clothes and didn't even notice the bike:) Emma's expression was priceless, too bad it wasn't her birthday:)

Alas, we chose wrong again with the bike. This one was too big. She traded it for a cute hot pink one!

We put a few candles on each cupcake. I can't believe Julia is 9 already. She is growing so fast and each day she gets smarter, more talented, and more beautiful inside and out! I love the girl she is and the young lady she is becoming. She makes us proud to be her parents.

AJ - 9 months

Is this the happiest baby you've ever seen? I think he might just be MY happiest baby. He is such a good baby!

He sleeps good, eats good, is very content to sit and play with toys, has been mostly healthy, has the best smiles.....

he's a great clapper,



and has the cutest one-toothed grin.

These pictures were taken just after AJ turned 9 months old in January. This Monday he will be 11 months. I somehow got a few pictures uploaded, I have no idea how. I still can't get to his videos or other pics. Maybe someday someone, meaning my husband, will take compassion on me and my technological deficiencies:)
