Andrew's New Skill

Andrew just learned to ride a bike with training wheels. He doesn't even seem to mind that it's a girls bike. At least it's blue, and the parts that are pink are so faded you can hardly tell it's pink:)

Our newest arrival

Our new little guy is finally here. His name is Austin J. Douglas Hult. Austin, because we liked it, J. after my dad and Austin's cousin, Riley, who passed away, and Douglas after Sara's Uncle Doug who passed away last month. Austin was born on what would have been Uncle Doug's 63rd birthday. He was born April 22, 2009 at 7:47 am. He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 18.5 inches long. He is just a tiny one. Plus with the blonde peach fuzz on his head we wondered whether he was really our baby. All our other kids have had lots of dark hair. He is precious and we wouldn't change anything about him.

The proud daddy with his boys!

Andrew was very excited about Austin's arrival. He is also excited we used the name Austin because it is one of the names of the Backyardigans, his favorite cartoon!

Another picture of our sweet Austin, or A.J. as some of us like to call him:)

Paint

So Emma got some water colors for her birthday. She has painted several times since then and she has always used the paints appropriately. She never painted on anything but the paper. Today when she wanted to paint I didn't worry about her at all, in fact, I didn't even stay and supervise her. I went and jumped in the shower. A few minutes later Andrew comes in the bathroom and says "Mom, Emma is painting on her lips and cheeks." I yelled to Julia, my big helper, to take some pictures of Emma and then clean her up. Here are the pictures of my little Piccasso!

Egg Hunting

We had a really quiet Easter because my parents and Jon and Jeanna were in Idaho at Joel and Melissa's baby blessing. Usually we would have had Sunday dinner with them. It was just us this year. We did our own little Easter Egg hunt after dinner and then luckily Lisa and two of her kids stopped by for a visit. Otherwise, we would have had one sad Julia. She had been complaining for a while that she was bored. What would we do without so many cousins close.

Emma's first egg!

Andrew was really focused, he wasn't stopping until every single egg was found.

Easter Sunday

We took a few pictures before church. My SIL made these dresses for the girls. I think they turned out very cute!

We had a hard time getting Andrew to stand still for pictures so we got quite a few of just the girls.

Julia's Piano Recital

Julia had her Spring Piano Recital the beginning of April. All the students played songs from Disney Movies. Julia played "A Whole New World" from Alladin. She did an excellent job! She still loves piano after almost 1 year of lessons and 2 recitals!! I hope it continues!

The bow after it was over! Yea!

Emma's B-day

Emma had a great 5th birthday! She opened her gifts from us in the morning, but mommy forgot to take pictures of her opening them. Then Andrew and I took treats to her classroom. It was fun to see Emma with her classmates and to get a few pictures of them. I love the picture of Emma with her Happy Birthday crown on!

Emma wanted a Dora cake for her birthday and I have to admit I got lazy and bought a cake. Blame it on the pregnancy:) Emma absolutely LOVED it!

Blowing out the candles!

Emma actually looks happy eating her cake, but a few minutes later she started spitting it out. She doesn't really like cake, just ice cream. We thought we'd try her with both again, but it didn't work. She also only likes vanilla ice cream with nothing in it. Her cake was mixed with her ice cream:)
